So, the juicy wedding details continue…
We didn’t want to leave you hanging like that, but we just had to split up the blog posts because there were too many favorite shots and details! Now that we’re back on track with our Portland, OR Merrywood Farm wedding, we will be sharing content from the ceremony on through the sparkler grand exit.
Again, we can’t stress what a fantastic time we had at this wedding. The Mr. & Mrs. are a wonderful couple. Their love for each other radiated every moment of the day. Her face was beaming and beautiful, he was delighted and dapper. If you don’t believe me, just have a look at The Dutton Wedding Blog – Part One again, and check out their portraits…especially the Bride & Groom portraits…creamy as butter!
We had full blown sun on their wedding day, so the game was finding nice, solid shaded areas with directional lighting if possible. Unfortunately the ceremony site was under trees that weren’t too dense, so there were hot, but you have to take the good with the bad. After the ceremony these two had a picnic planned and just took some time to relax before making their grand entrance to the reception. I think that was a great way to revel in the moment and enjoy their brand new union.
Ok, so more geeking out…there was great light available for so long into the reception, so the speeches and first dances were a pleasure to photograph. Also there was a really nice pop of direct sun that really made for some awesome sun-flare shots during the dances. Oh, and don’t forget, the we pulled out of the Bride and Groom during their sparkler formal exit…just look at their expressions…I just don’t know if it gets any better than that my friends. Put it all together, and you’ve got a wedding for the ages. The Duttons sure know how to throw a party, and we were ecstatic to be their guests! Wishing you two a lifetime of love and happiness!
