Catching the bride and groom while they’re getting ready for their big day and before they say their vows can be exciting for them and us! In these candid, and very moving photos of Liem and Leila’s wedding day, you can see how much love and happiness they feel for one another through their big smiles. The shots of Leila getting her make-up done and her hair styled are all truly special. We also took a few shots of the bride’s wedding shoes, her mom buttoning up her wedding dress, and a great shot of the back of her dress with its large mauve-colored satin bow that made for a great close-up shot to show is detail.  Not to be out done, we took some photos of the groom as he, too, got ready for his big day many while getting help from his best man. He also looked at ease when he took a quick stroll with his buddies around the grounds, and Read More

One thing we really enjoy is taking engagement photos of couples in beautiful surroundings throughout the Southland and since there are so many to chose from, it’s always a photographer’s dream. We especially enjoyed accompanying Billy and Shannon to Santiago Parks Regional Park in Orange County for these fun shots. Lying peacefully in east Orange alongside the Santiago Creek, the 1,269-acre Santiago Oaks Regional park is a nature lover’s paradise. This secluded refuge offers hikers, bikers and equestrians the natural charm of mountain vistas, an orange grove, a meandering creek and a mature forest of many different species of trees. Wildlife abounds and a series of interconnecting trails leads through shady groves and to a lookout that features an awe-inspiring view of Orange and the surrounding foothills. Billy and Shannon were at ease when we took these photos of them having a good time whether it was showing off some “Mr. and Mrs.” beverage coozies, sharing an embrace, walking the trails Read More

Behind the ScenesWeddings

When two people decide to forego having a formal wedding ceremony and elope, sometimes there’s a misconception that just because they are secretly getting married it’s less significant or that the occasion does not call for putting some extra special touches on the day. We totally disagree. As a matter fact, by making the decision to elope, that actually gives you the opportunity (and often times the money) to get extra creative in a myriad of ways. So, if you and yours are planning to elope and you’d like a few tips on how to make it a day that you’ll both never forget, we have a few great ideas for you below:   Don’t limit the options to the courthouse. Although there are a lot of couples who get married at their local courthouse (and that’s totally fine), you don’t have to limit the possibilities to that one location. So long as you know someone who is able to Read More

There is nothing  better than enjoying fresh veggies and produce that come straight from the fields of a farm, right? If thought that wasn’t possible in Southern California, it is actually quite easy. We recently went on a photo shoot to Farm Lot 59 also known as Farm Lot 59, a 1-acre bio-intensive mini farm located at 2714 California Ave., in Long Beach, where we captured these great shots. Not your ordinary place to shop for produce, veggies and more,  Farm Lot 59 offers organic fruits, vegetables and flowers, and eggs and honey directly from the farm. They grow everything using organic and bio-dynamic principles, and focus on soil health to keep all of the plants and animals happy and healthy. When you purchase directly from the farm you are also supporting Farm Lot 59’s  farming efforts and helping to create jobs. Everything sold at the location is organic, pesticide-free and considered “good for the body and soul.” At Farm Lot 59 there Read More

After newly married Uri & Thania said their heartfelt vows to one another  in front of their friends and family, it was time to party, and party they did. But the wedding party and guests didn’t have to go far! They continued their festivities at the La Cañada Flintridge Country Club right after the ceremony where you can see through the photos here that everyone clearly had a wonderful time. Prior to the couple taking their first dance floor together as newlyweds, we made sure to grab some spectacular shots of just them – in our opinion, the MOST IMPORTANT time to capture images. Why you ask? Well, because those are the images that will hang on our couple’s walls for many years to come. Once inside the reception area there was dancing, singing, speeches, the cutting and feeding of the cake, and the tossing of the garter and bouquet, too. Just by looking at the photos you can feel the love from not only Uri & Thania but Read More

Choosing the right venue for a wedding can be a difficult task for the bride and groom since there are so many options, but this local couple did it right when they opted for the La Cañada Flintridge Country Club. Thania and Uri decided on the beautiful club as the place where they would say their vows and then celebrate with friends and family afterward. A mere 18 minutes from busy downtown Los Angeles, at La Cañada Flintridge Country Club it’s easy to feel like you’ve escaped to a mountain resort. With its magnificent views in every direction, LCFCC is considered to be one of the most complete, family-friendly private clubs in all of Southern California. The banquet rooms in the mid-century clubhouse hold up to 300 guests for ceremony and reception. The floor-to-ceiling windows in each of these rooms provides guests the magical feeling of being outdoors but in a comfortable atmosphere. We wanted to capture Thania and Uri’s Read More

Besides football and soccer, one of the fastest growing sports is roller derby being played in the greater LA and Long Beach areas. We recently had the opportunity to shoot some action photos of a few of the teams competing. As you can see from these shots, these girls definitely mean business! Check out some of their names to see what we are talking about: “Rancho Sancha,” “Ida Capitate,” “Legs,” “Block Lobster,” “Vice Versa,” “Buster Chassis” and “Kiwi Herman.” And those are only a handful from one of the teams. Not only do these ladies play to win, they sport some interesting team outfits, too like leopard embellished knee pads and short, shorts. Besides the fun names and the colorful attire, some fast facts if you didn’t know already, roller derby is a contact sport played by two teams of five members’ roller skating in the same direction around a track. Game play consists of a series of short matchups (“jams”) Read More
