I just love the content that we have to share with you today from our latest wedding at Spanish Hills Country Club in Camarillo! If you missed our last wedding, you can see it here Wayfarers Chapel Wedding Ceremony, Rancho Palos Verde and here Double Tree Hotel Wedding Reception, San Pedro. It makes us so happy to work with clients like the Stacks. We’ve been able to see their relationship grow over the last year, and it was an honor to be there capturing their special day. Her dress could drop a jaw, but she had eyes only for him. These two have such a fun, playful way with one another that is truly amazing to see through the lens. When they’re together, even in a room full of people, they’re alone with each other, and wrapped up in their inside jokes and cute antics. This day day couldn’t have been any more perfect, and we are so happy to have been a part Read More

PersonalPortraits

Every morning I’m greeted with the biggest, heart-melting smile I’ve ever seen. Bryce shares the details and latest developments in world news, has a good, long stretch, and gives dad some slobbery kisses before our time is up. We’re not quite sure where he gets it from, but he is totally a morning person! Waking Bryce up for his morning routine, that fresh change and a bottle before the long ride to day-care, has become one of dad’s favorite times of the day. The little guy is growing up so quickly now, almost every day it’s something new…a new noise, a new look, a new quirk. If you blink, you might miss something. Daycare has been a blast for Bryce. We also enjoy being sick, so it’s working out just fine. In fact, the number of trips to the doctors needed has probably quadrupled in recent weeks. Such is life, as you other, more experienced parents out there laugh and Read More

Everything was in their favor that day. The sunset in Palos Verde was beautiful, and the view of Catalina Island was clear…something you can’t help but to stop and watch. We took the happy couple out to a few spots around the property with the big lights and caught some shots they will treasure for the rest of their lives. We were able to overcome the very intense and strictly enforced time restrictions at the Wayfarers Chapel…not ideal conditions to work under, but we walked away with spectacular images! Their reception at the Double Tree Hotel San Pedro was perfect! The first dance was timeless, the speeches were from deep down, and Read More

He was a bit anxious, but appeared calm and collected. She was stunning, ready to take his breath away. When they first saw each other, their eyes lit up…this was the moment they had been waiting for. We just let them be, enjoying one another’s company. If we hadn’t reminded them, they probably could have lived in that moment for a lifetime. Part One of the Timmons Wedding Blog covers the prep at Double Tree Hotel in San Pedro and the ceremony at the Wayfarers Chapel in Rancho Read More

EventsPhotojournalism

Last night was my first assignment under my newly-formed relationship with the Long Beach Post. I was approached a little over a week ago, and asked if I would be willing to join their team as a photojournalist. I’ve always loved Long Beach, but  for almost a year now we haven’t lived downtown. I miss being a part of Summer & Music, and showing artwork in the parks on Sundays…so this sounded like a perfect opportunity for me to reunite with the Long Beach community, but in a different, more mutually beneficial way. It just so happens that I know the newly appointed Executive Editor, Sarah Bennett, from my four years living in downtown Long Beach. Sarah asked me to stop by the Gentlemen’s Drink event inauguration at the Stache Bar (Fourth & Alamitos) and take some shots for the Post galleries, and discuss future opportunities working together. I had a little extra time at the event, so I spoke with Daniel, Read More

Aaaaand we’re back! Today comes even more wonderfully fantastic imagery from the Zahn Wedding at Jalama Cañon Ranch & Vineyard just North of Santa Barbara. If, by some anomaly you missed Part One of the Zahn Wedding, no worries, we’ve got you covered by simply clicking here  The Zahn Wedding Blog – Part One. The content you are about to see may induce the following symptoms: Smiling, giggling, extreme happiness, and maaaaybe even a tear or two. So PLEASE, DO NOT READ WHILE DRIVING! Personally, I cannot stop drooling over the bride and groom adventure we were afforded at this lovely property. The hills we traversed were just across the mini-valley from the reception site, and are absolutely, mind-blowingly stunning. Well, I digress, I’m leaving out the fact that our bride and groom added an unparalleled amount of shear beauty to our frames. These two just couldn’t keep their hands off each other! Thankfully we were pleasantly interrupted during the bride Read More

I feel like we have some bragging rights at the moment…not about the work, even though I LOVE it…but that’s not right. What I’m talking about how lucky we have been to have our last two weddings at such gorgeous venues. If you missed our last wedding, you can see it here Beautiful Private Estate Wedding in Salem Oregon – Part One and here Beautiful Private Estate Wedding in Salem Oregon – Part Two. Our featured wedding at Jalama Cañon Ranch & Vineyard was absolutely no exception. The Zahn’s personalities completely resonate with this natural, rustic environment, and it makes total sense why they chose to have their wedding here. The property is located about an hour North of Santa Barbara and is nestled between rolling hills of tall grass, with scattered oak groves, and comes complete with it’s own vineyard.  There are no traditional facilities, just a few cabin structures, generators, a camping area, and an outhouse. Although, when this place all Read More

After all that hard work getting ready and getting married, they were definitely due for some time alone…of course followed by party time! We had a little more fun with the entire wedding party, since they didn’t get to see each other (without blindfolds on!) before the ceremony, we had to grab a few shots of them all together. I told you that was a cool first look huh?! I didn’t want to spoil the surprise, but rather let you scroll down and find out for yourself. We whisked Amanda & Zach out into a nearby field of blooming flowers and had our way with them…photographing them that is Read More
